Hot Pots Storytime is Back
Hot Pots Storytime at Rodman Branch Library is back.
Held at both the Branch Library and at Hot Pots, two sessions are planned, including one on Wednesday, September 28 from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m, and another on Saturday, October 1 from 11 a.m. to noon.
Fogle Authors Selected for 2022 Series
All authors will appear in the Main Auditorium at Rodman Public Library and books will be available for purchase. Authors will also sign the books at the conclusion of their presentations.
Registration is required to attend each Fogle Author Series program.

Rodman Public Library Levy Renewal Information
Rodman Public Library will have an issue on the November 8 ballot.
Voters in the Alliance City Schools and Marlington Local Schools will decide Issue 3, which is a 1.5-mill, 10-year renewal levy. There are no new taxes associated with the levy, which accounts for 35 percent of Rodman Public Library’s overall funding.
More than 80 percent of Ohio’s 251 public libraries have local tax levies to supplement funding from the state of Ohio’s Public Library Fund.
Alliance Native to Kick Off 2022 Fogle Author Series
Janice Hisle is proof that dreams come true.
Growing up in Alliance, a young Janice Haidet attended a program at Rodman Public Library to hear Brinton Turkle, another Carnation City native, discuss his 1970 book Mooncoin Castle.
“I remember looking at him with awe and wonder,” recalls Hisle. “I remember feeling inspired to one day become a published author, too.”
Alliance Vinyl Club Spins Into Third Year at RPL
September marks a milestone for Alliance Vinyl Club.
The monthly program dedicated to spinning the favorite records of those in attendance has been in the groove for three years now at Rodman Public Library.
And the beat is stronger than ever.

RPL to hold Giveaway in September
September is National Library Card Sign-Up Month.
Since 1987, Library Card Sign-Up Montrh has been held each September to mark the beginning of the school year. During the month, the American Library Association and libraries unite in a national effort to ensure every child signs up for their own library card.
Kid Crafters to Make Fall Tissue Paper Tree in September
Children, ages 6-12, are invited to Rodman Public Library at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, September 22 to make a fall tissue paper tree. All materials are free for monthly kids crafting programs sponsored by Friends of Rodman Public Library, but space is limited and registration is required.
