A simple “hello” will earn two lucky area residents a new Apple iPad in August.
All area residents who visit the RPL table inside Miller Pavilion during the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival’s Days in the Park – Wednesday, August 10 through Saturday, August 13 -- will have the opportunity to enter a drawing for one of two new Apple iPads – one for those over 18 and one for those under 18.
Chipotle will host a dine-to-donate event for Friends of Rodman Public Library from 4 to 8 p.m. on Monday, August 22. Diners at the 1630 W. State St. location can help raise funds by presenting a flyer obtainable at Rodman Public Library or by telling their server they would like to support the Friends of Rodman Library. Those ordering online for pickup need to use the code V9KHFAH for the order to count towards donating 33 percent of the event sales to the cause. Delivery orders will not count toward the fundraiser.

Teens, ages 12-18, will be tasked with figuring it all out when Rodman Public Library hosts a live version of the popular online multiplayer social deduction game “Among Us” from 5:30 to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 18.
Rodman Public Library and the Branch Library will both be closed all day on Saturday, August 13 in honor of the Greater Alliance Carnation Festival Parade.
Representatives of the library will be on hand at Days in the Park to greet festival-goers and offer them the opportunity to learn more about the library and its services as well as sign up for a drawing to win a new Apple iPad.
Eat at Buffalo Wild Wings on Wednesday, August 17 and help raise funds for the Friends of Rodman Public Library. Diners at the BW3 location at 310 W. State St. in Alliance can present a ticket obtainable at the library or tell their server they want to support the Friends of Rodman Library in order for 15 percent of their total bill to be donated to the organization.
Maker Monday crafters will create an embroidery hoop memo board when they meet Monday, August 15 at 7 p.m. in Rodman Public Library’s Main Auditorium.
Rodman Public Library’s Summer Movie Series concludes on Monday, August 1, when Moana is shown on the big screen in the Children’s Program Room at 5:30 p.m.
