RODMAN STAFF SPOTLIGHT: Tori Rodgers

Meet Tori Rodgers, an assistant in adult circulation who has been at RPL for seven months.

Here are some things to know about Tori:

What is your favorite part of your job?

I really enjoyed getting to know my coworkers and seeing fun new books and displays.

What is your favorite book or author?

Victoria Aveyard is my favorite author to follow on social media (Red Queen is legendary), and I love the Raven Cycle series and the Dreamer Trilogy by Maggie Stiefvater.

What is your favorite food?

As Samwise Gamgee says: “Po-tay-toes! Boil ’em, mash ’em, stick ’em in a stew!”

What is your favorite TV show

Stranger Things all the way.

Do you have any hobbies?

I like to read (of course), study Korean, and watch whatever show my bestie and I are currently on.  And although I haven’t done much of either since graduating last year, I also like to write fantasy short stories and draw portraits.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I studied abroad in Seoul, South Korea for four months last year. It was the first time I left the U.S. and only my second trip on a plane ever—but it was the best experience of my life.

If you could visit anywhere, where would it be?

I would definitely go back to Korea again, or go somewhere new like Japan or England to visit friends.

What super power would you like to have?

Telekinesis for sure—no more carrying heavy things! Plus, it would look so cool.

What was the last thing you binge watched?

The most recent season of Demon Slayer.
