Rodman Public Library offers mobile WiFi HotSpot units and portable chargers for patrons’ use. Twenty five HotSpots have been acquired to check out and two portable chargers for in-library use. A mobile HotSpot allows the user to have on-the-go WiFi Internet access for up to 10 devices and may be borrowed for 14 days. Patrons must be 18 years of age or older, have a valid adult Rodman Public Library card, a current photo ID, and be in good standing with the Library at the time of checkout. Holds may also be placed on the HotSpots. A limit of one HotSpot may be borrowed per person for seven days.
The ChargeTech Plug, a portable power supply, will charge electronic devices and laptops. It is the perfect solution for charging patrons’ devices in an area of the Library where no electrical outlets are available. The portable chargers must be checked out at the Reference Desk and are available for in-library use only. Patrons must be 18 years of age or older and have a valid adult Rodman Public Library card.
Patrons signing up for a new card must wait 30 days before they can place a hot spot on hold.
Both units are available only at the Main Library at 215 E. Broadway St. The HotSpots are located at the Circulation Desk and the portable chargers at the Reference Desk. For more information, call the Main Library at 330-821-2665.
