Teens to Mark Pi(e) Day at RPL

Pi(e) Day

What’s the difference between pi and pie?

One is a mathematical constant. The other is a delicious dessert that comes in many flavors.

Rodman Public Library will combine the two on March 14 with a special Pi(e) Day for teens.

Between 3 and 5 p.m. that day, teens ages 12-18, will have the opportunity to take part in several activities, including

Robb Hyde to Discuss Schoolhouses and Education in 19th Century Alliance

Robb HydeThe old schoolhouse has become the stuff of American tradition, nostalgia, folklore, and of course, corny lyrics like, “School days, school days, dear old Golden Rule days.” Nevertheless, it was also the centerpiece of a revolution in public education that was at the foundation for trying to build a strong, diverse, educated group of citizens in order for American democracy to flourish.

Eat at Chipotle on March 1 and Help Friends of RPL

Chipotle will host a dine-to-donate event for Friends of Rodman Public Library from 4 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, March 1. Diners at the 1630 W. State St. location can help raise funds by presenting a flyer obtainable at Rodman Public Library or by telling their server they would like to support the Friends of Rodman Library. Those ordering online for pickup need to use the code 2BZLKE6 in order for their purchase to count towards donating 33 percent of the event sales to the cause. Delivery orders will not count toward the fundraiser.
