Local
musician and community organizer Willis Gordon will present a Blues and Jazz
Showcase in the Rodman Public Library Main Auditorium at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday,
Oct. 16. Gordon, 31, is a GlenOak High School graduate and veteran of the U.S.
Navy who is known for his work with the local NAACP and veterans issues as well
as his music. Gordon, who has been performing locally for 13 years, will
present a review of jazz and blues music, both originals and covers, during his
visit to Rodman Public Library. He will be accompanied by keyboard player and
percussionist Robert Johnson. Registration is required for this event on our
