Eldon "Pete" Shoup was a local golf legend in Alliance. Married with one child and a second onthe way, he was murdered at the age of 25 while trying to save his father from being killed during a burglary gone horribly awry.

On Saturday, Sept. 30, Rodman Public Library will screen Elemental, a 2023 animated adventure comedy that follows characters in a city where fire, water, land and air residents all live together.

The film is rated PG and runs 1 hour and 41 minutes.

The film is free to attend and freshly popped popcorn will be provided, thanks to Friends of Rodman Public Library.

Registration is not required for the all-ages event, but children under the age of 13 must be accompanied by an adult caregiver.

Fogle Author Series-James Renner

James Renner, a man of many talents who is best known as a journalist and writer of true crime, will appear at Rodman Public Library as part of the 2023 Fogle Author Series.

Renner will discuss his new book, titled Little, Crazy Children, which details the unsolved murder of 16-year-old Lisa Pruett in Shaker Heights in 1990.

Rodman Public Library invites children, ages 8-12, to Kids Gaming every first Wednesday of each month at the Main Library Auditorium. From 4:00 to 5:00 p.m., children will be treated to open play of video games, Minecraft, etc. on devices provided by the library. No registration is required.
