Do you have questions about Medicare? We have answers! Mercy Medical Center presents a one hour Medicare informational talk on Thursday, May 11, at 10 a.m., followed by the opportunity to ask questions from 11 a.m.to 3 p.m., at Rodman Main Auditorium. An Ohio Senior Health Insurance Information Program (OSHIIP) representative will be at Rodman Library to answer any questions or concerns seniors might have about their Medicare coverage, health plans, HMO’s, prescription drug coverage and much more.
Anthony Gibbs of the Ohio History Connection will present “Freedom, Citizenship, and Equality: The Story of the United States Colored Troops” on Saturday, February 11, at 1 p.m., in Rodman Main Auditorium. The story of 200,000 black soldiers who fought for the Union during the Civil War is a unique chapter in the American conflict.

As part of the Downtown Special Events Commission, Rodman Public Library will host a “How Do I…? all day event on Saturday, Mar. 11, from 12 to 5 p.m. A variety of demonstrations and some Make & Take sessions will be offered in the Main Auditorium and Children’s Program Room in 45-minute and one hour intervals. Need help with a needlework project? Jane Graham, who teaches the needlework class, will be at the main library the 2nd and 4th Monday of the month – from 1 to 3 p.m.– following the KnitWits class. She will help you find a solution or answer for that crochet, knitting, or other type of needlework project you are doing. Also during Needlework Help, Graham will be teaching those interested how to knit a sweater.
Are you a book lover? Are you interested in meeting other book lovers to compare notes and have a lively discussion? Join us at the evening book discussion group Monday, Oct. 2, at 6:30 p.m., in Rodman Public Library’s Conference Room. Chilbury Ladies Choir, by Jennifer Ryan, is the book choice for discussion.
